What You Need to Know About the Coronavirus-19 Vaccine by Dr. Rachel Gandre

Is the COVID-19 Vaccine Safe? Pfizer and Moderna have applied for an Emergency Use Authorization from the Food and Drug Administration for their coronavirus vaccine. The FDA process is expected to take a few weeks, and an advisory committee to review the vaccine has been scheduled for early December. Some Americans could get their first dose of the vaccine in about a month.

As scientists around the world have diligently worked to help us understand this virus and the disease it causes, it is important to realize that we will continue to learn more about the virus in the years to come.

New Policy

Starting January 1, 2020, we will no longer see unvaccinated patients.

We will continue to provide care for patients on alternate immunization schedule and Unvaccinated Patients wanting to catch up on immunizations.

We will also continue to provide science-backed information to better guide parents into making an informed decision. Parents are encouraged to call their primary pediatrician and discuss concerns regarding this matter. We care deeply for all our patients and wish to continue taking care of them to the best of our ability.
